As you may know there is debate over the safety of silver fillings as they do release mercury at very low levels. This release is so low that one portion of seafood (tuna or shellfish) can contain more mercury than that released from silver filling over 7 days. There is no robust scientific evidence that silver fillings do any harm and no government anywhere in the world has banned their use. The one thing that is for certain, white fillings look more natural that silver fillings.
